Ignis Aeternum

For this level, I have tried to evoke a sense of confusion in the player as well as make them curious to find out where they are and make sense of what is happening around them. This is supposed to be more of a traversal level with a more passive approach in terms of interaction but active in terms of thinking about the story and meaning of it all.​

As this was a quick iteration of the level and I wanted to use 1 week for it, I decided to follow a three step process to create it. The three steps involved in the process were:

  1. Conceptualizing and planning the flow of the level

  2. Creating the landscape in Unreal Engine 5 and looking for assets that matched my vision

  3. Scripting the events according to the flow and refining it as much as I can
